Conflict regions

Coastair also focuses on areas that might be hit by a natural disaster, countries with ethnic conflicts, ongoing labor actions, war zones etc. Just think of areas such as the African Great Lakes region in Central Africa (e.g. Rwanda, Burundi and Uganda), Iraq, Afghanistan or Darfur in Western Sudan. The people who live there need humanitarian aid if they want to have a chance at development. This obviously means that flights need to be organized to these regions to provide victims with humanitarian aid and to rebuild the infrastructure. In spite of the need, numerous charter companies are put off by the many risks. However, at Coastair thorough risk assessments are part of our daily operations routine! Apart from serving remote airports, Coastair also focuses on disaster areas where urgent humanitarian aid is the number one priority!
