Hard to reach destinations
All over the world there are numerous airports that are hard to reach, but this number is increasing especially in Africa and the Middle East. Just think about Basra in Iraq and Mogadishu in Somalia. Another example of such a hard-to-reach airport is Herat Airfield in Afghanistan. This airport has poor infrastructure as until recently it was used as a military base by the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), the Afghan army and the Afghan border police. This airport furthermore has only one runway, which makes it harder to reach than the large airports, where significantly more passenger flights depart. Often the aircraft handling or cargo processing material for the flights at these airfields is outdated or even broken. Nevertheless, here too Coastair always delivers on time and within budget!
